Fitness after 50Posted Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 8:11 AM
I've been busy lately doing this thing called "Boot Camp", for which I had no idea that I was so out of shape. Although I do joke about being old, I have found that since I have started this exercise program I'm not as old as I had thought. I have new found energy, for which I can actually keep busy until 9p.m. instead of hitting the sofa at 7p.m. and that being the end of my day! I love being able to actuallly feel like I have accomplised something once I arrived home after a long day at work. This just may have been a smart move. I would encourage anyone over the age of 50 to take a long look at their physical activity and to note that exercise is good for not only the soul, but for your memory, it aides in quickening ones reaction time, it's great for your heart and even bone density improves. So why not.
Lets all get a bit more fit and look forward to perhaps showing those that are younger that we too can do a few jumping jacks and crunches and look pretty darn hot afterwards...no pun intended! |
