Resolutions....Posted Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 3:53 PM
What are your resolutions for this year? Here are some silly ones I've heard....
1) I will balance my checkbook (on my nose - haha....I agree just lately it's been depressing, especially when I have to keep writing 'I owe myself $50' in the message line) 2) I will think of a password for my computer other than 'password.' 3) I will try to figure out why I 'really' need 11 email addresses 4) I resolve to quit wasting my time relieving the past, instead I will spend it worrying about the future. 5) I resolve to work with neglected children -- my own. 6) I will stop sending e-mail, Instant Messages and be on the phone at the same time with the same person (and stop sending text messages to people that are in the same room as me) 7) I will read the manual... just as soon as I can find it. 8) Cut down on exercise. Too much is bad for your health, I've heard it can even kill you. 9) Stop bringing lunch from home: I should eat out more. 10) I resolve to get rid of my mailbox - no junk mail piling up - thus no resolution to declutter. 11) No more shopping at warehouse clubs. Do I really need a life time supply of chocolate syrup? But it's soooo cheap. 12) Stop buying books until I read the last twelve ones I bought last month. 13) Stop yelling out the answers to all the questions when watching quiz programs. They can't hear me and if I really was smart, I'd apply to one. BLESSINGS IN THE NEW YEAR! |

I grew up in Northcentral Iowa. I attended Iowa State University where I received a B.A. Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and had an emphasis on Child and Family Studies. I moved to Storm Lake in 2008 to work for the Pilot-Tribune, after working for a daily paper in Nebraska. When I'm not busy typing like a mad woman, peering from behind a camera lens or interviewing all sorts of new and exciting people, you can probably find me rollerblading/biking the paved paths of Storm Lake, strumming out a few notes on my guitar, walking numerous dogs all at once in Newell. I am also a member of Faith Bible, a member of the Shayla Bee family, the SL Kiwanis and a longtime member of the Twizzlers Annonymous Support group. Wink Wink.
