Some interesting TV viewing this weekendPosted Monday, March 1, 2010, at 2:03 PM
Pretty good hockey game to finish the Olympics with this year. The upstart Americans vs. the world-beating Canadiens. Of course, Canada managed to win the game in overtime, leaving the Americans with a silver medal and high hopes for American hockey in the future. Seems to me though, that the Americans beat Canada a week or so before.... making the record of the two teams both at 5-1. The "series" between the two tied at 1-1. Couldn't we have a "playoff" game to truly decide the gold medal winner? Hockey is a fickle game, and winning one game doesn't mean you have the best team. This is why the NHL has 5 and 7 game playoff series, so that the better team will usually win. Just a thought for the next Olympic games, although I doubt anyone will consider it.
Watched the new series developed by Jerry Sienfeld last night, after the 3 hour closing ceremonies finally ended. Pretty darn funny. I think NBC may actually have something here, if they don't screw it up like they do everything else they put on TV. Weather seems to be warming up a bit... here's hoping the temps keep going up. I'm sick of seeing snow everywhere. 'Til next week..... |
