Hawks take home the OrangesPosted Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at 2:20 PM
Good Orange Bowl. Hawkeyes came out smoking in the first quarter to take an early 14 point lead, then the defense played a magnificent game against the best rushing team in college football. Hawkeye fans should be grateful to have such a great head coach in Kirk Ferentz and his coaching staff. They set-up a great game plan for Georgia Tech and basically stopped everything the Ramblin' Wreck threw at them. Was nice to see Ricky Stanzi have a good game after being out so long with an injury. I see a great chance for an even better BCS game next year, as the Hawks have some great talent returning next year.
More freakin snow. As I sit here and type this, we've gotten 3-4 inches and it just keeps on coming down. Again, anyone have a winter home somewhere warm that I can use? Here's how my luck runs.... I decided to switch cable companies a few months ago because of a better HD package with the one I chose. Now that company is in a fight with Fox over pricing for Fox's programming. So, as it stands now, January 8th I will lose all my Fox networks, CBS, and God only knows what else. Maybe it's time to just not have cable anymore. Until next time.... stay warm. |
